John Gransbach

John Gransbach is a doctorate-prepared Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in behavioral and mental health. He earned his Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2023 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. John takes a holistic approach to mental health, integrating psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, behavior modification, nutrition, sleep, and psychoeducation to help patients and families achieve wellness. He has deep experience evaluating and treating dual-diagnosis patients — those with co-occurring psychiatric and addiction disorders — including medications for addiction treatment. His doctoral work focused on mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to help adolescents manage anxiety and reduce suicidal ideation. He received the St. Louis Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award in Behavioral Health and Psychiatry, and the Distinguished Young Alumni Award from Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing for his work in suicide education and prevention.
